I am going to take a new approach to starts for Ulduar. Normally I would go into the fights, work out strats and then write them up. This time I would like to haveĀ others help out in the strats.
Within the comments put in any strats or tricks you have for a the boss mentioned and from that a strat post will be made. I would like this to be an open forum for discusing raid encounters to better help those guild who are not in the top 5% and are still having troubles in Ulduar.
Our first Boss – Razorscale…Discuss.

Throw LHW and Riptide around, keeping everyone at full health all the time. Chainheal only on melees. dOn’T stand in the fire?!?! That’s it I guess.

This is a pretty great idea, everyone has little tweaks, or something they can bring from their vantage point — can’t wait to see what shamanstratwiki.com comes up with!

First off – AVOID THE FREAKING BLUE FLAMES! It’s truly amazing after so many years of “get out of the fire/swirly/etc.” that people still don’t move right away.
We had a pally tank and a druid primarily tanking the adds. They spawn from various points, generally in the back so they would pick them up and gather them to the middle for mass AOE. The big Sentinels are death incarnate for melee, so have an offtank pick them up and ranged burst them down. DPS & healers need to stay spread out to avoid chain lightning damage (wish my shammy could hit 8 targets with one CL).
We saved Heroism for when she was permanently grounded (after numerous failed attempts at using it to get her grounded) when she hits 50% health. This made a huge difference. MTs kited her around the circle during phase 2 so ranged & heals could stand in the middle and deliver without much movement. There is a stacking debuff that slows tank movement so it is important to try to switch tanks during the kite after a few stacks (can’t be dispelled) or if your dps can burn her fast enough, let the first tank go until dead and the second tank picks her up for the finish.
We finally killed Razorscale last night after numerous attempts. Some nice ilvl226 hunter/enhance legs dropped. I was pleased since I won Guiding Star (ilvl 232 1h caster mace).
